A household name in Hollywood, Tom Selleck, who turns 78 this year, is known for his impressive acting career, charming good looks and iconic moustache. The actor has continually redefined himself and landed great roles in a film and TV career spanning decades.

Tom Selleck's Career Highlights

Selleck began his career in the 1970s, landing small roles in TV shows and movies. But it wasn't until the 1980s that he truly hit the big time, starring as the lead in the hit TV series Magnum, P.I.. The show was a huge success, and Selleck quickly became one of the most recognisable faces in Hollywood.

Not only did he begin a successful career in acting, Selleck directed and co-produced a large number of television and movie productions including Magnum P.I., the Jesse Stone movies, The Closer, and Crossfire Trail.

But Selleck's road to success wasn't easy. Despite his early success, he faced many challenges along the way.

In the 1990s, he struggled to find work, and many in Hollywood had written him off as a has-been. But Selleck refused to give up, and he fought back with a renewed determination.

Selleck's comeback began in the late 1990s, when he starred in the hit movie Three Men and a Baby.

The movie was a huge success, and it proved that Selleck still had what it takes to be a leading man in Hollywood. He followed this up with a string of successful movies, including Mr. Baseball and In & Out.

But Selleck's biggest achievement came in 2010, age 65, when he landed the role of Frank Reagan in the hit TV series Blue Bloods. The show has been a huge success, running 13 seasons, and it has made Selleck a household name once again.
